"I strive for expression
and dynamic in the illustration"

Sarah Stark is an artist & illustrator from Germany. Focused on fashion, beauty & lifestyle illustrations. But not only ! She has been working as a full time illustrator ever since she graduated from taught life drawing, graphic design and Illustration at the Münster School of Design in 2016 in Germany.

Storys, fashion, humans, patterns and nature inspire her. Experimentation is a part of her working process and she uses various traditional techniques in her work such as ink, acrylic and paper cut collages. Sarah Stark is impressed by colors and shapes of nature and the movement of life. This influences her work with colors and the traditional painting techniques, in which you can see the structures of the techniques and of the paper.

Traditional techniques are not always perfect and give so much life, dynamic and variation to the illustration. That's what she like most about it.

“Illustration bring products & stories
to life“

In my work as a commercial illustrator, I learn with each project to adapt to different client needs and projects. The difficulty with each project is to first see what is asked for and how I can make it work with my style and skills.

I work with intense colours and sometimes with more muted versions. With each project, I work in a goal-oriented way on the respective client project. Sometimes it has to be clear shapes and lines, other times abstract silhouettes and strong shapes with black outlines.

A lot is possible in illustration with traditional means and that is exactly my focus. All work is done by hand using traditional painting techniques. Depending on the project, the illustrations are digitally processed or assembled.
